The Moral & Political World of Navjot Singh Sidhu -Past, Present & Future
If Navjot Sidhu loses from Amritsar East, but Congress forms govt, will he quit as Punjab Congress president? If Navjot Sidhu wins Amritsar East, but the party fails to form govt, will he then quit? If Navjot Sidhu wins Amritsar East, Charanjit Channi loses from Chamkaur Sahib, Congress fails to form govt, will he then continue as PPCC chief? If in any scenario, Navjot Sidhu quits as Punjab Congress president, do Congress’ choices go beyond Jakhar or Channi?
IRRESPECTIVE OF WHETHER CONGRESS FORMS A GOVERNMENT IN PUNJAB or not, does Navjot Singh Sidhu have enough heft to continue as PPCC chief, given that there isn’t a wide section of party leadership that loves him? Any need that the party had for him to attract votes, field a fiery orator, make personal honesty an issue, or introduce Jatt glamour wouldn’t be there anymore. So, will he have enough political shrewdness to survive?
Has Navjot Singh Sidhu learnt how to coexist with the likes of Rana Gurjeet, Balbir Sidhu, Jalalpur and other beacons of probity in public life?
Whether Navjot Singh Sidhu wins or loses, will he be in the Cabinet if the party forms the government?
Will Navjot Singh Sidhu now keep his loud moral voice and stance intact and oppose any horse-trading by his party if it fell short of the majority?
If Congress forms government by “managing” MLAs that it falls short of, and the likes of Rana Gurjeet help in those deals, and Sidhu joins or is seen ready to join such a governmentt, will he remain Navjot Singh Sidhu?
Given his near-absolute silence for many days now, is there a Navjot Singh Sidhu anymore, or has he been tamed?
