In a letter to the Canadian Prime Minister, Justice Justin Trudeau, the Sikh political body -Dal Khalsa has expressed deep concern over the recent murder of Bhai Hardeep Singh Nijjar and has appealed for a fair investigation and justice. To register their protest, they will demonstrate in front of the Amritsar office of the Indian Intelligence Agency -RAW on 1 July. WSN reports.

DAL KHALSA, UPHOLDING THE RIGHT TO SELF-DETERMINATION OF THE SIKHS, in a hard-hitting statement to the media has stated that the killing of Bhai Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Surrey, Canada is part of a broader plan by the Indian State to target Sikh activists and create fear among the Sikh youth, particularly those advocating Sikh rule, even though they may be doing so by peaceful and democratic means.

The Dal Khalsa’s letter to Prime Minister Trudeau comes as part of their ongoing efforts to address the increasing interference of the Indian State in religious affairs and ensure justice for Sikh activists facing targeted Indian state-sponsored violence.

Dal Khalsa has highlighted that Bhai Hardeep Singh Nijhar’s assassination in Canada, following the killing of Khalistan Commando Force chief Bhai Paramjit Singh Panjwar, is a matter of grave concern. The organization strongly suspects the involvement of Indian intelligence agencies aiming to spread terror among Khalistani activists.

To pay tribute to Bhai Hardeep Singh Nijhar, the Dal Khalsa has decided to hold an Ardas and Shardanjali Samagam at the Darbar Sahib complex on 1 July.

Tributes will be paid to Bhai Hardeep Singh Nijhar at an Ardas and Shardanjali Samagam at the Darbar Sahib complex on 1 July.

Paramjit Singh, the spokesperson of the party said that “We will demonstrate on 1 July outside the office of the Indian Intelligence agency -the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) office in Amritsar demanding an end to illegal and extrajudicial acts by the Indian government, through its agencies and a section of the Indian Diaspora.”

Dal Khalsa President Harpal Singh Cheema stated, “A group of Dal Khalsa youth activists, led by Paramjit Singh Mand, will convey the message to the RAW authorities that they too stand as Khalistanis and if the thirst for Khalistani blood satisfies them, they should be ready to target them as well. The RAW office was specifically chosen as a demonstration site, given its responsibility for operations on foreign soil as India’s external intelligence agency.”
