Chandigarh’s Rose Festival sans roses but big tamasha
The World Sikh News photo artist Prabhsimran Kaur spent a few hours on the last day of three-day long annual Rose Festival which concluded yesterday. WSN presents a photo gallery of the pictures which she clicked. As you can see the roses are few and far between. The artist says, “I had to run around to catch a bunch of roses but could only find these.” Nevertheless, the Rose Festival is a big tamasha which attracts thousands of curious visitors as the Rose Garden built in the memory of a former President of India –Zakir Hussain and boasts of more than a thousand varieties of roses in the Rose Garden spread over 30 acres in the heart of City Beautiful -Chandigarh, which itself is nothing less than a Garden City.
