Kashmir Sikhs denounce Indian government move to remove special status
As news filters out from Kashmir in bits and pieces, Reuters has reported that Jagmohan Singh Raina of the All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee in Kashmir has denounced the Indian government move to destruct the autonomy of Kashmir. Standing shoulder to shoulder with the majority Muslim population, the barely 2 per cent Sikh population of Kashmir feels that this move is a ‘monumental blunder’ and the government will pay for it and regret it in the coming times. Raina is amongst the first of the leaders from Kashmir who have vocalised the trauma in present-day Kashmir.
