As Imran Khan took oath as the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Punjab based political party Dal Khalsa greeted him with the hope that his leadership would “mark a change in Pakistan and positively impact the geo-political situation in South Asia.”

Party chief Harpal Singh Cheema expected that the Pakistan Sikh community would get more opportunities and avenues for social and political persuasion.

Dal Khalsa hoped that the new Pakistan government will celebrate the 550 years of Guru Nanak Sahib’s birth anniversary in Nankana Sahib with traditional fervour enhancing Sikh-Muslim brotherhood.

Significantly, Indian Punjab minister Navjot Singh Sidhu participated in the oath ceremony with a prayer for success of Imran’s government and peace in the region.
