On a plea by victims of anti-Sikh carnage of November 1984 and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Delhi High Court ordered everyday hearing from 11 September in the case of Congress leader Sajjan Kumar’s involvement in the murders and conspiracy to murder innocent Sikhs. In May this year, the court received a pen drive containing incriminating evidence wherein the accused is reported to have boasted of his role in the killings. As per official statistics, 2,733 Sikhs were killed during the first week of November 1984.
