Farm­ers Rail Roko call a suc­cess, claims In­dian Farm­ers Union

In­dian Farm­ers Union gen­eral sec­re­tary Jag­mo­han Singh, in a state­ment to the me­dia, claimed that the peo­ple of Pun­jab had given over­whelm­ing sup­port to the Rail Roko an­nounced by the United Kisan Mor­cha.

The United Kisan Mor­cha com­pris­ing Pun­jab’s 32 Kisan Unions to­day protested peace­fully in 40 places to sup­port the Rail-Roko -stop­page of trains pro­gram, as per the re­lease of the farm­ers union.

Jag­mo­han Singh said that as the gov­ern­ment is not show­ing any lee­way, farm­ers are bit­ter and an­gry. “We are protest­ing against the 3 farm laws for the last 3 months but the gov­ern­ment is not budg­ing from its ob­sti­nate stand.”

To­day’s protest was to let the peo­ple of In­dia know more about the farm­ers’ rights and how the new farm laws are against the in­ter­est of the farm­ers and farm labour­ers.
