CELEBRATING 550 YEARS OF BIRTH OF GURU NANAK, the Sikh world could not have asked for more. As soon as the Imran Khan-led Pakistan government announced the decision to open the Kartarpur Corridor between the two countries, connecting district Gurdaspur of East Punjab with Narowal district of West Punjab, the Sikh world was in devotional ecstasy. Seizing the opportunity, the Indian government too responded.

As the construction works are getting completed, Sikhs worldwide are excited about reaching Darbar Sahib, Kartarpur Sahib, where Guru Nanak spent the last 18 years of his life.

Gobind Singh devoutly speaks about the progress of work at Darbar Sahib Kartarpur Sahib and is confident that by 12 November 2019, when thousands of Sikhs from all over the world reach there to celebrate the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak with piety, love, devotion and the tradition Sikh spirit of Sewa, everything will be in place and in order.

While the world is spread hate and war-mongering picks up in various parts of the world, the minuscule but visible Sikh community has made a Peace Corridor between two arch-rivals India possible. Sikhs hope and pray that in the not too distant future, the artificial Radcliff line will vanish, the two Punjabs will come together and Sikhs will have unfettered access to Kartarpur Sahib and the vast Sikh heritage and legacy in various parts of Pakistan.
