The octogenarian lawyer presents a philosophical aspect of life and urges mankind to focus Godwards. This is the first and the last life. We shall achieve our wishes if we are intent and focused to achieve them.

Firstly, we have to accept that God has given this life and we must accept that this is the first and the last chance.  We cannot guess the number of years we will live on this earth.  We do not know the purpose for which God has sent us to planet earth. We do not know in what period of time we will be able to fulfil the purpose for which God has sent us to this world.

Generally speaking, a majority of us do not fathom the purpose of our life.  Those who do so are likely to go ahead in life.

Historians have written much about rulers but not much of the people. Literature too has failed to grant due recognition to ordinary folk. We too would be ignored by historians, if we do not work for the fulfilment of the target for which God has created us and sent us to this world.

On one’s own initiative, human beings have been attempting to understand the purpose of life, but have failed. Even religious people have not been able to guide properly. Religious people tell us the directions to follow, they tell us that we should pray, but that does not seem to be the purpose of life.

Life means a period to work, but mere work will not lead us to the right path. We must know the true purpose of life.  The life span is too small to be wasted or idled away. In this span, we have to keep ourselves healthy, attain good education, train ourselves, get jobs or work to get income and after such fulfilment, we will be inclined to know the true purpose of life.

Our associates –parents, brothers and sisters, relatives and friends, society and government, all have to take keen interest in the goodwill and growth of each individual and then develop real values, which will enable collective fulfilment of our destiny goals for all.

An individual may identify targets but experts can guide and build the aptitude required to choose the right profession, trade and employment, which can help in the realisation of a person’s worth.  A wrong choice can mean delay and suffering in establishing the happiness quotient and fulfilling the purpose of life.  This process can be made easy and smooth by parents and society monitoring the development during childhood and younger years.
