Polls to 22 Punjab zila parishads and 150 panchayat samitis will be held on September 19 stated Jagpal Singh Sandhu, the Punjab State Election Commissioner and from today the model code of conduct is in force. Nominations start from September 4 and end 7 September, with 50 percent reservation for women. Counting of votes on 22 September. There are 1,27,87,395 registered voters. NOTA will be an option but no EVMs.
