Ravneet Singh Bittu of Con­gress party wins Lud­hi­ana third time in a row

De­feat­ing his sec­ond-time chal­lenger Simar­jit Singh Bains of the Lok In­saaf Party, Con­gress party can­di­date Ravneet Singh Bittu has won the Lud­hi­ana Par­lia­men­tary con­stituency for the third time in a row.

Grand­son of for­mer Chief Min­is­ter Beant Singh who was killed by mil­i­tants, Ravneet Singh Bittu is a favourite of both Chief Min­is­ter Cap­tain Amarinder Singh and Con­gress Party chief Rahul Gandhi.

He also de­feated Ma­heshin­der Singh Gre­wal of the Shi­ro­mani Akali Dal who stood at num­ber 3 and the Dr Tejin­der Pal Singh of the Aam Aadmi Party who was at no. 4.
