Ravneet Singh Bittu of Congress party wins Ludhiana third time in a row
Defeating his second-time challenger Simarjit Singh Bains of the Lok Insaaf Party, Congress party candidate Ravneet Singh Bittu has won the Ludhiana Parliamentary constituency for the third time in a row.
Grandson of former Chief Minister Beant Singh who was killed by militants, Ravneet Singh Bittu is a favourite of both Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and Congress Party chief Rahul Gandhi.
He also defeated Maheshinder Singh Grewal of the Shiromani Akali Dal who stood at number 3 and the Dr Tejinder Pal Singh of the Aam Aadmi Party who was at no. 4.
