Shiromani Akali Dals deceiving Panth and Punjab says Dal Khalsa

Shiromani Akali Dal decision to support the Bhartiya Janata Party after announcing non-participation in Delhi Assembly elections on its difference with the party on CAA and NRC, has rattled the Sikhs. Dal Khalsa has chastised the party and other factions waiting in the wings to toe the right-wing BJP. Dal Khalsa also cautioned Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa and Taksali Akali Dal from going the BJP way.

DAL KHALSA, INA HARD-HITTING REACTION reaction to various Sikh political parties for lending direct or tactical support to the BJP in the ensuing Delhi assembly polls scheduled for February 8, Dal Khalsa said the so-called saviours of Panth have turned out to be saviours of selfish political interests.

The Shiromani Akali Dal and the newly formed Jago Party of Manjit Singh GK have recently announced full support to the BJP.

Party spokesperson Kanwar Pal Singh said, “What the Badals did with the Sikh Students Federations, BJP has done with the SAD. Just as the Badals used state power to corrupted federation leaders bringing them to their mercy. After gaining absolute power, the BJP did the same with Akali leaders.”

“Think a thousand times before taking the Sukhbir Singh- Manjit Singh GK route.”

“The Sikh Students Federation was the cradle of Sikh leadership, a training ground for future Sikh leaders focussed towards the welfare of the Khalsa Panth. Parkash Singh Badal and his son Sukhbir Singh Badala adopted a rather sinister and devious scheme to disintegrate the Sikh Students Federation in Punjab into several groups through allurement and arm-twisting. After destroying the collective youth power, all Federation factions succumbed to the Badal tactics to get their share of space in power, sacrificing all that they stood for and thus strengthened the Badal’s stranglehold on all Sikh institutions.”

Kanwar Pal SinghThe BJP has now smashed the Akali bastion, splintering it into many factions and then decimating them into submission. “At present Akali Dal is split into six factions and out of it, four were desperate to get blessings of BJP. Some have been lured by BJP government’s help during SGPC and others in the DSGMC.

“While minorities and regional identities across the country are rising in protest against CAA and NRP, the SAD was shamelessly leaning on the BJP damaging the interests of the Sikh community. “At the time when the tyrannical regime of Modi-Shah was unleashing brutality on students of Jamia and JNU threatening their lives, the Akali’s support to BJP has shamed the Sikhs,” said Kanwar Pal Singh

“What the Badals did with the Sikh Students Federations, BJP has done with the SAD. Just as the Badals used state power to corrupted federation leaders bringing them to their mercy. After gaining absolute power, the BJP did the same with Akali leaders.”

Kanwar Pal Singh said the Akalis have failed the Sikhs as they had mortgaged Sikh interests to the Hindutva government. The irony of the situation is that despite baying for each other’s blood, warring Akalis have agreed to work under BJP command”.

Apprehending that the Akali Dal Taksali affiliate and Akali stalwart Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa looks moving closer to joining BJP’s bandwagon, Dal Khalsa cautioned, “Think a thousand times before taking the Sukhbir Singh- Manjit Singh GK route.”
