Sidhu-Bajwa hug and peace message brings cheer to Sikh world

Across the board, Sikhs were delighted at the lone Sikh presence of former cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu at the swearing-in of the 22nd Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan. While Navjot’s hug with Pak army chief Bajwa has unnecessarily disturbed many in India, Sikhs have welcomed the call for peace and the possibility of opening the Kartarpur corridor next year for 550 year birth anniversary celebrations of Guru Nanak.  For once, Sidhu has brought unprecedented cheer to the Sikh world, leaving others to scorn and jealousy.
