In an ine­bri­ated state, four law stu­dents, one of whom is a son of the lo­cal politi­cian and Bar Coun­cil chief of Hisar, beat up a Sikh fam­ily out­side a restau­rant. To add in­sult to in­jury, at­tempt to mur­der charges are framed against the Sikh fam­ily in­clud­ing a preg­nant woman. Bow­ing to Sikh out­rage, the po­lice sta­tion of­fi­cer is trans­ferred, it is un­clear whether the trumped-up charges have been dropped but a fresh FIR has been filed against the boys. In­stead of ar­rest­ing them, the po­lice con­sti­tutes an SIT to in­ves­ti­gate while the fam­ily re­cov­ers from se­ri­ous in­juries in a hos­pi­tal.
