Gur­d­waras in South Kan­pur join the 5 Jan­u­ary Guru Gob­ind Singh Gur­purab move­ment.

Kan­pur in the In­dian state of Ut­tar Pradesh has in­vari­ably stood with Pan­thic de­ci­sions in re­li­gious, so­cial and even re­li­gio-po­lit­i­cal mat­ters. It is no sur­prise that many Gur­d­waras in Kan­pur have also de­cided to cel­e­brate Gur­purab of Guru Gob­ind Singh on 5 Jan­u­ary and adopt the Mool Nanakshahi Cal­en­dar.

As per in­for­ma­tion avail­able at the time of writ­ing, the Gur­d­waras that have de­cided to join the 5 Jan­u­ary and Adopt Mool Nanakshahi move­ment. This de­ci­sion was taken and rat­i­fied by Gur­d­waras at a joint meet­ing of all Gur­d­waras held on 28 No­vem­ber at Khalsa School, Kan­pur.  The Gur­d­waras who have de­cided to join the cam­paign are Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Govind Na­gar,  Gur­d­wara Sadh San­gat, Labour Colony, Gur­d­wara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Ratan­lal Na­gar, Gur­d­wara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Cha­ran Singh Colony and Gur­d­wara Sri Dashmesh Singh Sabha, Ni­rala Na­gar.
