South Kanpur Gurdwaras for 5 Jan Guru Gobind Singh Purab
Gurdwaras in South Kanpur join the 5 January Guru Gobind Singh Gurpurab movement.
Kanpur in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh has invariably stood with Panthic decisions in religious, social and even religio-political matters. It is no surprise that many Gurdwaras in Kanpur have also decided to celebrate Gurpurab of Guru Gobind Singh on 5 January and adopt the Mool Nanakshahi Calendar.
As per information available at the time of writing, the Gurdwaras that have decided to join the 5 January and Adopt Mool Nanakshahi movement. This decision was taken and ratified by Gurdwaras at a joint meeting of all Gurdwaras held on 28 November at Khalsa School, Kanpur. The Gurdwaras who have decided to join the campaign are Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Govind Nagar, Gurdwara Sadh Sangat, Labour Colony, Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Ratanlal Nagar, Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Charan Singh Colony and Gurdwara Sri Dashmesh Singh Sabha, Nirala Nagar.
