Shout­ing slo­gans of “Down with the fas­cist BJP gov­ern­ment, they pro­claimed that noth­ing short of re­peal of these laws was ac­cept­able to the peo­ple of Pun­jab.

The Prime Min­is­ter of In­dia was called au­thor­i­tar­ian, au­to­cratic and a pro­moter of crony-cap­i­tal­ism who had com­prised the in­ter­ests of the com­mon man. Sign­boards in the back­ground urged Prime Min­is­ter Modi to shun ego and roll back farm laws.

Burn­ing the farm laws and boards of the three farm laws and tak­ing strong ex­cep­tion to the 4-mem­ber panel set up by the Supreme Court of In­dia, Dal Khalsa spokesper­son Kan­war Pal Singh told the WSN that, “This is a one-sided panel with pro-farm laws views and the stay­ing of the farm laws was not a so­lu­tion and will fur­ther ex­ac­er­bate the im­passe”

“We see the Supreme Court rap­ping the knuck­les of the gov­ern­ment only as a ju­di­cial trap to save the sit­u­a­tion for the gov­ern­ment to make an en­try through the back doors. The Modi gov­ern­ment is anti-mi­nor­ity, fas­cist, anti-farmer and anti-peo­ple,” he added.

Dal Khalsa burning farm laws

Dal Khalsa also an­nounced that it will join the Trac­tor March to Delhi on 26 Jan­u­ary in a peace­ful ex­pres­sion of dis­sent against the forcible en­act­ment of un­con­sti­tu­tional and il­le­gal farm laws. 26 Jan­u­ary is a day of protest against un­law­ful and anti-peo­ple farm laws and Dal Khalsa will stage protests against the farm laws.

Party Gen­eral Sec­re­tary Paramjit Singh Tanda, Sikh Youth of Pun­jab head Paramjit Singh Mand, Ran­bir Singh and Harpal Singh Blair, Gen­eral Sec­re­tary of Shi­ro­mani Akali Dal Am­rit­sar were lead­ing the protest of the Lohri bon­fire of the farm laws.

Paramjit Singh Mand said, “Lohri sig­ni­fies fight against re­pres­sion and re­it­er­a­tion of our re­solve to sup­port and carry on the farm­ers’ ag­i­ta­tion till laws are re­pealed and farm rights are pro­tected in Pun­jab and parts of In­dia.
