UK MP Tan­man­jeet Singh Dhesi met In­dian Civil Avi­a­tion Min­is­ter Jayant Sinha and Min­is­ter Vi­jay Sam­pla for a di­rect flight ser­vice be­tween Am­rit­sar and Lon­don. He re­it­er­ated his pro­posal at a meet­ing in Delhi, at­tended by SGPC mem­ber Paramjit Singh Raipur. The vis­it­ing MP on a hol­i­day was con­fi­dent that In­dia will re­spond positvely soon to ful­fil this long-stand­ing de­mand to im­prove con­nec­tions, trade and tourism be­tween the two na­tions, which would im­pact Pun­jab econ­omy and boost NRI di­as­pora com­mu­nity ties.
